And So The Journey Begins

After thirty hours of flights we finally reached our first stop in North-Eastern Philippines, Tuguegarao. A busy air polluted town with an airport the size of a big living room. Where the a la Milo from the Mask movie works as a DEA dog :)- really, it looks adorable. Despite the fact that the town has almost no touristic attractions, it’s a good stop over point if you heading to the North of the country. Also a great place if you want to feel like a celebrity. Locals were constantly greeting us, waving from their balconies and some even were singing English songs like the American Pie.

One night after and we were again on the road. Heading to the North-eastern most part of Luzon – Santa Ana. The Filipinos love to sing and they do it everywhere so we also caught ourselves singing on the bus.

Santa Ana greeted us with rough sea and lots of rain. Looks like the rainy season is still present here. Despite that, we’ve stayed in a small paradise on the beach with a good wi-fi, cozy cafe and 16 rescued cats.

One evening after several bottles of brandy and tons of serious discussion we were invited to a real Philippines birthday party with a big whole pig, lots of karaoke and dances.

Three days later, we are still here.
